About this event
Both Rifle Range members and non-members can participate. Shooters will be placed in 4 classes: Men, Women, Boys (14 and under) and Girls (14 and under).
Limited to 90 shooters. Members pay $10. Non-members pay $10 and a $10 non-member use fee. PLEASE BRING EXACT CHANGE. Shooting times based on a First Come, First Serve basis. Check in at the Clubhouse before going to the Rimfire Range.
Bring a rifle and pistol chambered in 22 Long Rifle, no other calibers. Firearms must be unloaded, cased or holstered coming into or leaving the building. Rifles must weigh 9 lbs or less and can have any type of sights. Pistols are limited to barrels 7” or under and iron sights only (no optical or electronic sights).
Cash prizes will be awarded based on 1 prize for every 6 shooters in a class. Prizes will be given out after all targets are scored and placings finalized. A lowest scoring shot count on the rifle target will be used as a tie-breaker.
Men and Women will fire 10 shots with a rifle and 10 shots with a pistol. Boys and girls will fire 15 shots with a rifle. All shooting will be from the unsupported standing position. Shooters will shoot from behind a table and may rest their firearm on the table between shots. Targets are 1950s Sears Roebuck turkey targets in 2 sizes and posted at 50 ft. The smaller target is for rifle and the larger target is for pistol. Print your name, phone # and class on both paper targets. No shooting coats or other shooting aids are allowed.
Safety: Don’t show up under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Eye and ear protection are required. Ensure both firearms are unloaded, magazines out and cased/holstered when you arrive and when transporting to/from the firing line. No shoulder or cross draw holsters are allowed. To save time have all magazines loaded with 10 or less rounds in advance. An inadvertent discharge will immediately disqualify a shooter. Listen to and obey the Range Officer’s commands.
